- Fresh button mushrooms
- 1 pound bacon or sausage
- 1/4 cup green onion minced
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
- 2 cups bread crumbs or stuffing mix
- 1 package JJ’s Pantry Italian Seasoning
- 1 egg
Preheat oven to 375°. Clean and stem mushrooms. Set caps aside and mince stems. In skillet over medium heat, fry bacon until crisp or sausage until cooked through; remove and crumble. Add green onions to drippings and sauté for 5 minutes; remove from heat.
In a large bowl, combine crumbled meat, onions, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs and JJ’s Pantry Italian Seasoning. Stir; let cool. Add egg; stir. Spoon stuffing into mushrooms and place in a lightly greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake for 15 minutes.
